The BIS Program is a program which allows students to take two areas in which they may have taken classes or wish to take classes in and then take those two areas and combine them into a major which they take courses for each class and end up getting a degree in these courses taken.

I have decided to take BIS as my major because I believe this was a great way for me to be able to combine my Italian classes and Communication classes that I had been taking and be able to make them into a major I can use.

I have learned quite a lot in my BIS classes. For example, in BIS 301 I learned a lot about exploring the details of what Interdiciplinary means and I learned how to incorporate Interdiciplinary into my life. I learned how to think Interdiciplinarily and how to find out how to break topics down Interdiciplinarily.

The courses of Italian for the Interdiciplinary major were interesting. I really enjoyed taking the directed study where I could work with my Italian Professor one on one and be able to learn outside of the classroom and more in a research environment.

The communication courses gave me the ability to explore deeper into communication and simply learn how to communicate in a theatrical manner. The Communication course in which we put on performances from our books was very interesting and we got to really explore the indepthness of acting form poems and showing how to relate something from the book and put it together and perform it which is amazing.

Italy is a beautiful country and the language is also beautiful!
I have had a very interesting experience when I met Andrew Diaz who taught me how to do sales. I got to really understand how to pitch customers and get them to buy a promotional sale I had.

I think my experience with him and getting to go out there and talk to so many people allowed me to learn a lot and something that I would not be able to learn just in the classroom or on my own. I am happy that I did this however, I don't think I could do sales for the rest of my life because it is rather difficult. In the end, I think it is a great skill to have and if you have the ability to be really good at sales then you could try and do it for a living but once again, it is quite difficult.
